In a time when musicianship has given way to marketability, and talent has been relegated to the dustheap; there has emerged a fiery and soulful young group poised to shift the tide and bring back the energy and emotion that was once characteristic of the rock and roll scene.
Rustbucket exhibits raw talent and indefatigable stage presence; electrifying their listeners, mesmerizing their audiences, and proving once and for all rock is not dead!
The boys in the Bucket have been collectively playing around New England for the last five years. Now settled in the Boston area they are making a name for themselves with their hard driving sets, soaring vocal harmonies, and powerful instrumental abilities. Having known each other for over a decade, Hugh, Dan, and Matt communicate in such a unique way audiences instantly tap into their shared musical experience and are left with a desire for more.
"I've seen Rustbucket playing small acoustic sets, and raucous club shows, and it always leaves me with goosebumps," says Dave McSharry of Plymouth, a longtime fan.
Sharing similar styles to such legendary innovators as The Allman Brothers, Neil Young, and The Grateful Dead, to contemporaries such as The Stone Temple Pilots, Sublime, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rustbucket's music gives their listeners a sense of the familiar while infusing a fresh, energetic flavor of their own. From show to show, set to set, song to song, Rustbucket delivers the same hard-driving intensity that is characteristic of their forebears to whom they venerate with the utmost reverence.
Rustbucket are sure to be a lasting presence in the music scene.
